Crispy, Cozy, Clean: Apple Granola Made the Nutritarian Way

Crispy, Cozy, Clean: Apple Granola Made the Nutritarian Way

Looking for a crunchy, naturally sweet breakfast that’s both delicious and nutritious? Say hello to our Apple Delight Granola—the easiest way to level up your mornings with whole food goodness and just three simple ingredients!

Why You’ll Love It

At the heart of this cozy, crisp granola is our Apple Delight Superfood Overnight Oats—a blend packed with fiber, natural sweetness from fruit, and ingredients like chia and flax that help support digestion and energy. You get all the comforting flavors of baked apples, cinnamon, and spice… but in a nourishing, no-junk-added granola form.

We’ve paired it with unsweetened applesauce for natural moisture and caramelization during baking (no oil needed!), and a drizzle of date syrup to bind it all together and bring out those deep, baked-apple flavors. The result? Perfectly crunchy clusters you can enjoy with plant milk, on smoothie bowls, or by the handful!

The Healthier Granola Choice

Store-bought granolas often sneak in added oils, sugar, and preservatives. This homemade version is fruit-sweetened, oil-free, gluten-free, and packed with nutrients your body will thank you for.

You’ll be nourishing yourself with:

  • Fiber to support digestion and fullness

  • Antioxidants from apples and spices

  • Omega-3s from flax and chia seeds

  • Plant-based, whole-food ingredients with no refined sugar, salt, or oil

Apple Delight Granola Recipe 🍏

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Bake Time: 15–20 minutes
Yield: ~2 cups of granola

Ingredients:

  • 2 packets Doc’s Daughters Apple Delight Superfood Overnight Oats

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 2 teaspoons date syrup

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, applesauce, and date syrup until fully mixed.

  3. Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through for even crisping. Watch closely at the end to prevent burning! Take it up a notch and dehydrate the mixture instead!

  5. Let cool completely to allow the granola to crisp up further.

  6. Store in an airtight container—or enjoy right away!

Enjoy It Your Way

  • With your favorite plant milk

  • On top of yogurt or chia pudding

  • As a crunchy snack all on its own

  • As a topping for apple nachos! (My personal favorite)

This recipe is proof that you don’t need a long list of ingredients to make something nourishing and delicious. Just a few pantry staples and a little oven magic—and breakfast is served!

XOXO,

Dr. Cara Fuhrman
