Homemade Vanilla Hazelnut Almond Milk

Homemade Vanilla Hazelnut Almond Milk

There’s something magical about homemade nut milk—it’s fresh, creamy, and free of unnecessary additives. Making it with a juicer makes the process even easier! While cheese-cloths are simple to use, they can feel a bit intimidating, so I’m thrilled to share that you can skip it and use a juicer instead. Today, we’re making a delicious hazelnut-almond milk with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon—perfect for sipping on its own or adding to your favorite recipes..

Why Use the Namawell J2 Juicer?

This juicer is a powerhouse for creating homemade nut milks. Its slow, cold-press process extracts every bit of creaminess from the nuts, leaving you with a smooth, luxurious milk that tastes as good as it is nutritious. Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 3 1/2 cups filtered water
  • 3 large Medjool dates (pitted)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Start by soaking the hazelnuts and almonds in water overnight. This softens the nuts, making them easier to blend and improving the creaminess of your milk.
  2. Drain and rinse the soaked nuts, then set them aside.
  3. Add the drained nuts, filtered water, dates, vanilla bean powder, and cinnamon to the juicer. The hopper makes it easy to add all the ingredients at once—just close the lid and let the juicer work its magic.
  4. The Nama J2 does a fantastic job of separating the pulp, but if you prefer an ultra-smooth texture, you can strain the milk through a nut milk bag or cheesecloth.
  5. Pour the hazelnut almond milk into a glass jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep fresh for up to 3 days. Shake well before each use, as natural separation may occur.

Note: If you’re using a blender, I recommend a high-powered one like a Vitamix, along with a nut milk bag or cheesecloth for straining.

Tips for Using Your Homemade Nut Milk:

  • Add it to coffee
or tea for a creamy, dairy-free alternative.
  • Use it as a base for smoothies or chia pudding.
  • Use it to soak your Doc’s Daughters Overnight Oats for a nutritious breakfast!

Making nut milk at home is a simple way to elevate your kitchen creations while staying in control of the ingredients. With the Namawell J2 juicer, you can enjoy fresh, flavorful nut milk any time!
