Ingredients:

  • 6-8 oz drip coffee or 2 shots espresso (I made mine with decaf!)
  • 1 cup oat milk (Pacific foods vanilla is my go-to)
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp date syrup
  • ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice* (See our Ceylon cinnamon tip below)

Easy Recipe Instructions:

  1. Brew your choice of coffee.
  2. Blend the pumpkin puree, date syrup, and pumpkin pie spice in a blender (I used a NutriBullet!)
  3. Add blended mixture to a frother or use a hand held frother to froth your pumpkin milk
  4. Pour the frothy, spiced milk mixture into your coffee. Stir well and enjoy!

*Why You Should Opt for Ceylon Cinnamon in Your Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend

Many store-bought pumpkin pie spices include cassia cinnamon, but let me tell you why we want to use ceylon cinnamon instead. Cassia cinnamon is high in coumarin, a naturally occurring compound that could potentially harm your liver when consumed in large amounts. Ceylon cinnamon, on the other hand, contains little to no coumarin, making it a safer alternative. Therefore, I make a batch of my own pumpkin spice recipe to keep in the pantry! Here's my quick and easy Ceylon-based pumpkin pie spice recipe:

  • 1 cup ceylon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup ginger
  • 1 TBSP nutmeg
  • 1/2 TBSP ground clove
  • 1/2 TBSP cardamom
  • 3/4 tsp allspice

It's that simple! Save this recipe for the future fall seasons and share with anyone who loves pumpkin as much as we do <3

Yours Truly,
